I Kill Giants.

"Time travel?" asked 19 skeptically. "Are you serious?"

"What part of this seems like a joke to you?" 21 retorted. "This is real."

"You've lost it," 19 said, standing up. "I'm done."

19 walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

"Anyone else want to leave, do it now."

Eight more of the men rose from their seats and left. Twelve rebels remained.

"I'm sure you have questions," 21 said to the group. "Let's hear 'em."

"How are you not in jail already just for knowing these exist?" 4 asked. "These must've been developed by the government. Shouldn't they be looking for them?"

"Good question. My guys that stole these thought of it as well. After stealing them, they used them and went back in time to just before the first test and hi-jacked them to make it look like they never worked."

"So the government achieved time-travel," 4 asked, "and doesn't even know it?"

"Yes."

"Assuming this works," 16 said, "we're going into some morally shady ground here. How do we know we're doing the right thing? Maybe we make things worse?"

"We can't ever really know that for sure. But we have to try. This country, and by extension the world's well being is at stake. Billions of people's lives are being destroyed. We longer have the luxury of thinking in grays. There is black and there is white. We're going to set things right."

"You said that we're going to kill the Trinity and stop the NationCore from initiating," 2 inquired, "but what about the bombing in Boston? Why don't we save those people?"

"Because we want this country to be reborn," answered 21. "If we let the legislature live, when the Trinity dies, new tyrants will replace them. This country needs a rebirth, and the only way to do that is to let it burn to the ground."

"It wasn't just the legislature that died," said 2. "Thousands of civilians did too. We have the means to stop it. Like you said, black and white. This is the right thing to do. If we must, then we kill the legislature ourselves."

21 pondered silently.

"Fine. Three objectives," 21 said. "Prevent the bombs from going off, kill the legislature and the Trinity, prevent activation of NationCore. Now here's how we'll do it..."
